FETCHING is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are sexy scenes and some suggestive language if that is an issue for you. The story is set in a small town. Not sure exactly where but a drive to the big city. Sydney is the owner of an historical Inn that is really not an Inn anymore. It has been in the family for generations and when her father passed he left it to the oldest son. The son tried to make a go of it but the father also left him a lot of debt. The Inn is old, it hasn't had any updating for years if ever and there is no money to get it updated.Drew decides to sell the Inn and get rid of the money pit. Sydney, the only girl in the family is emotionally attached. So Drew turns it over to her to try her luck. She really needs about $300,000 to pay off the debt and then pay for renovations. No bank will lend her the money already owing $200,000. She doesn't have it nor does she have anywhere but one place to possibly get it. Her best friend has done well in Hollywood and she is more than willing to loan her the money but Sydney doesn't want to ask her friend for money and have that possibly come between them. There just doesn't seem to be an answer to her problem. Not until....Wyatt is an IT billionaire. He is young, arrogant and loaded. He will take a small business about to go under and put money and smarts into it and bring it back to life. He becomes a partner and an idea man. He is good at what he does. He and Sydney do not exactly hit it off when they meet. Wyatt is always teasing and picking at Sydney and she doesn't know how to handle it. He has offered to buy her Inn, renovate it and then let Sydney manage it and he will be the marketing guy behind the scenes. The price? He becomes part owner and Sydney is having none of that.This is a fun, cute story. Sydney got on my nerves a little bit with her high thoughts - especially after they are engaged but to each his own. I really liked Wyatt. He was a fun character with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. Sydney needed to lighten up a bit. But all told, it is a good story and I definitely recommend it.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 6/29/2021. This is the first book in the Unleashed Romance series. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steamy, a bit of hilarity, tearful scenes, cute pets, and heart squeezing love. Wyatt is a millionaire who moved to the small town of Summerdale to change the pace of his life. He has a habit of rescuing women in need. Sydney owns the local restaurant and bar that has been in her family for generations but is drowning in debt due to Sydney’s dad’s financial choices. Wyatt wants to invest in the business but only as a partner and if certain changes to the business are made. Sydney is not a fan of changing anything or a controlling partner and instead wants a loan. Wyatt and Sydney start out as frenenemies, at least in Sydney’s mind, since Wyatt is always criticizing. Wyatt thinks it is sexy banter between them. There is instant sizzling chemistry between the two but the animosity and business issues are a barrier to getting involved. Cue a snowstorm, forced togetherness, no extra beds and a cute dog to start their journey to happily ever after. On their way to their HEA, they each must deal with their own issues and past baggage in order to together build a strong, healthy and respectful relationship. With Fetching, Kylie Gilmore again proves she a master of swoon worthy tales.
